Dan Culverhouse

My journey to becoming an independent consultant evolved after more than 30 years in the corporate world with companies such as Tesco, Alshaya, TCC Global, and DKSH. I have lived and worked in the UK, Europe, Turkey, The Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

Predominantly retail facing, I have managed Big Box, convenience, & e-com supply chains from grocery, fresh food, frozen, fashion, health & beauty, furniture, and HORECA, as well as Healthcare for hospitals, Doctors and clinics, plus supplying raw materials to manufacturing.

My career in supply chain & logistics began in the early 90’s when I took a role as an order picker supplying toiletries to M&S, from there I worked my way through the ranks with the companies above. Starting with operational & transport management, moving into continuous improvement change, then strategic project development including more than 10 major distribution centre builds with significant automation, to regional and global leadership.

A theme that has followed my career has been transformational change. From modernisation / digitisation (systems, process, automation), building for growth, rescuing failing or under invested operations, launching new business (retail brands, e-com), to building or re-building teams or business relationships.

My goal in all my roles and projects is to make a positive difference and leave a lasting legacy.

I achieve this through an approach of inclusion and collaboration. All teams have good ideas & insight and should be listened to. Success comes from delivering what the business / customers need. A supply chain is only great if it’s delivering for it’s customers and delivering profitably. Engaging at all levels, being true and authentic (even if it is hard to hear) always brings results.

Today as an independent consultant my aim is to build strong positive relations with all my clients, listen to their needs & challenges, then provide a clear path to real change, delivered at pace, in a structured and transparent manner, leading to lasting, positive, & profitable improvement.

I keep my promises.
